Frigate's ROCm detector "runs best on discrete AMD GPUs" (docs), but the docs also list the 780M iGPU found in many Ryzen mini PCs.

Known issues and gotchas

Limited model architectures on ROCm (docs).
RF-DETR is slow on RX 9060 XT (~90 ms Nano-320 vs 4–6 ms for YOLOv9/YOLO-NAS) per docs.
Separate image: use the -rocm Frigate image (release notes).
An 8845HS/780M owner reported it "does not seem to be working" and asked about M.2 accelerators (#21908).
Strix Halo: XDNA2 NPU is community-supported via a ZMQ sidecar, qualified only on Ryzen AI Max 300 (docs).
